How to add meta verification tag or ad code to Blogger/Blogspot?

So, you have a website based on the Blogger/Blogspot platform.

You can prove your ownership in a few simple steps:

1. Navigate to the 'Sites and Zones' section, then click on 'Add a new site'. Enter your website address (make sure it's correct) and click on 'Submit'.

Done it already? Then choose the website you wish to verify.

2. Now, you need to get the meta verification tag. Click on 'Copy to clipboard' to obtain the code.

3. We will use a theme editor to insert the code. Go to your website platform and select the 'Theme' section. You can edit your theme’s source code by clicking the 'Edit HTML' button.

4. You're almost there! Make sure that all code modifications are placed within the <head> tag. The best placement is directly after the other meta tags. Press 'Enter' to add a new line and paste your meta verification tag there. Click on 'Save theme' to apply your modifications.

5. The difficult part is finished. Return to the Clickadu Publisher’s Dashboard. Click on 'Verify' to prove your website ownership.

Troubleshooting

If something is not working, make sure to check that the code or meta tag hasn't been altered in any manner, such as parts being placed in different locations or extra symbols being added.
